چکیده
Vibrio is a genus of gram-negative, rod-shaped, motile bacteria commonly found in saltwater. One species particular, gazogenes PB1, sourced from an estuarine environment, known to produce the secondary metabolite, prodigiosin. This high-value compound has potential uses as antibiotic, fungicide, and anti-cancer agent. To further explore its metabolic genetic features for biotechnological purposes, complete genome sequence V. PB1 was determined by Illumina Pacbio sequencing. Two chromosomes were assembled with mean coverage 293x. Chromosome 1 3.5 Mbp size 45.3% GC content chromosome 2 1.2 45.1% content. The entire harbours 4178 genes, which 3988 are protein-coding 114 RNA-coding. A total 55 virulence-related 38 antimicrobial resistance 48 transposase sequences, intact prophage regions, 10 genomic islands present within genome. Six genes associated degradation cellulose starch also identified Four them strongly up-regulated, confirmed RT-qPCR, thus providing strong evidence their involvement degradation. Quite importantly, we demonstrate first time that synthesis prodigiosin native prodigiosin-producing bacterium. titres obtained presence on par glucose carbon source lends support use host production.

متن کاملMutation of bacterium Vibrio gazogenes for selective preparation of colorants.
A novel marine bacterium strain effectively produced prodiginine type pigments. These colorants could dye wool, silk and synthetic fabrics such as polyester and polyacrylic and also show antibacterial properties against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria on the dyed products. Methyl nitrosoguanidine was used as a mutation agent to increase the genetic diversity and the producti...
